Ways to increase speed of Computer/Laptop

Below, I am sharing few methods which can provide lot of help in increasing speed and performance of a computer and laptop. Mostly, we all observe that speed and performance of our computers and laptops start decreasing with time. Recently, I discovered that my laptop is taking lot of time for loading and doing various functions; however, it was very fast when it was new. After consulting few friends, I learned about few methods which are very useful in increasing speed and performance of a laptop or computer. After using these three methods shared below, people can see lot of increase in speed and performance of a computer.


1) Constantly delete Temporary files- While doing web browsing or using various software our computer download numbers of temp files which are stored in “Temp” folder. Mostly a particular space is allotted to this folder which can be increased or decreased. If we do not delete these temporary files on regular interval then it can stop further download of new temp files which is important for proper display of new websites and features. To delete Temporary files go to folder called “Temp” (People can also get the help of search function available in Window to easily locate this folder) and then delete all temp files.

2) Reduce Startup functions- When we start our computer then numbers of functions installed on our computer also gets started like live update etc. These functions cause our computer to load slowly thus decrease speed of our computer. People can easily reduce computer startup load by decreasing numbers of functions which should start as we start computer. To manage this option, first go to “RUN” (it can be easily located with the help of search of function) then type “msconfig” and press OK. After doing this a new small box will open up and here people are required to click on Startup which will be available on upper side of box. In Startup, people are required to unclick on all undesired functions which are either not important or people can work without them. After doing this, people can see significant improvement in loading time of computer.

Go to RUN- Type “MSCONFIG”- Press OK- Press Startup – Unclick undesired functions

3) Selection of Best Performance mode- Mostly, our computer/laptop comes with auto selected custom mode which do not guaranty best performance. To select best performance mode go to Control Panel. In Control Panel select system and maintenance. Here select System and in system go to Advance setting. In advanced tab click on setting button under performance and finally select “Best Performance” option.
